Shirley Temple (23 April 1928 – 10 Februarie 2014) was 'n Amerikaanse aktrise en diplomaat. Sy het reeds vroeg in haar lewe roem verwerf. Die meisie met die goudblonde krulle en vonkelende oë word deur baie as die bekendste kinderster in die geskiedenis van film beskou. Sy het tussen 1932 en 1949 in meer as vyftig Amerikaanse rolprente gespeel.
Shirley Jane Temple is op 23 April 1928 in Santa Monica in die Amerikaanse staat Kalifornië gebore. Sy begin haar loopbaan op driejarige ouderdom en het gou 'n bekende kindergesig op die silwerdoek geword.
Temple was twee keer getroud: eers met John Agar (in 1945 toe sy 17 jaar oud was) en in 1950 met die Amerikaanse oorlogsveteraan Charles Alden Black. As volwassene was sy 'n ambassadeur. Sy het die naam Shirley Temple Black gebruik.
Temple is op 10 Februarie 2014 op 85 jarige ouderdom oorlede. Sy word deur drie kinders, 'n kleindogter en twee agterkleindogters oorleef.[1]
