Jorj Anri Jozef Eduar Lemetr (fr. Georges Henri Joseph Édouard Lemaître; 17 iyul 1894[2][3][…], Şarlerua, Eno[7] – 20 iyun 1966[4][2][…], Leuven, Brabant əyaləti[d]) — Belçikadakı Katolik kilsəsində keşiş, riyaziyyatçı, astronom və Löven Katolik Universitetində fizika üzrə professor olmuş yezuit.[8] O, tarixdə ilk dəfə yaxın qalaktikaların resessiyasının genişləyən kainat nəzəriyyəsi ilə açıqlamağın mümkün olduğunu təsbit etmişdir.[9] Daha sonra bu fikir Edvin Habbl tərəfindən aparılan müşahidələr nəticəsində doğrulanmışdır.[10][11] Lemetr ilk dəfə hal hazırda Habbl qanunu və ya Habbl-Lemetr qanunu olaraq bilinən qanunu ortaya qoymuş[12][13] və Habblın məqaləsindən iki il əvvəl, 1927-ci ildə çap etdiyi məqaləsində Habbl sabitinin hesablamasını aparmışdır.[14][15][16][17] O, həmçinin, ilk başda "ibtidai atom nəzəriyyəsi" olaraq adlandırdığı, bu gün isə "Böyük partlayış nəzəriyyəsi" fikrini irəli sürmüşdür.[18]
