Lover Fest was supposed to be a concert tour by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, but it was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.[source?] It would have been for her album Lover (2019).
In April 2020, Taylor Swift announced that she was going to do the tour in 2021 instead. In February 2021, she cancelled it completely.
Taylor Swift completed her very popular Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018.[1]
In August 2019, Taylor Swift told Ryan Seacrest that she still did not know if she would be going on tour. She said she did not want to keep making albums and touring right after.[2] In October 2019, she said that because her mom has cancer, she didn't want to leave her family for a long tour.[3]
Taylor Swift announced the tour in September 2019 and she said she wanted to go to places she had never been before and play at festivals for the first time in a while.[4][5]
The shows at SoFi Stadium were meant to be the first events ever held there.[6]
In April 2020, some of the festivals got cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Then Taylor Swift announced that she would do the tour in 2021 instead.[7] On February 26, 2021, Swift announced that the tour was cancelled completely.[8][9]
In 2022, Taylor Swift went on the Eras Tour (2023–2024) instead.[10][11]
