I'm not a vandal, your enforcement is arbitrary. A vandal, is someone that presents less authentic information as real. Not vice-versa.

[edit]

"It turns out, you were blackmailing then and leaving false threats of vandalism. If you think I'm vandalising, go and report me. And once again I reiterate my point w/o reference to your baseless assertion, please stop your repetition."

There's no reference to Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, nor Associated Press of Pakistan of what he's saying.

In other export orders it's clear that firms publish and State outlets publish. Like Russia's RT or TASS.

You can't arbitrarily tell me which block is correct or not.

And I"m not interested in making fake accounts. I don't even care about who-what export-import.

I didn't even comment on Bangladesh's JF-17 order, or lack thereof. My viewpoint isn't political.

It's simple, you explain why, this element isn't present: https://news.lockheedmartin.com/news-releases // As I said you have no authoritative primary source. For that type of real shipment, you need a higher proof of source than a normal source of procurement.

You need proper source of authority that's authoritative. Please find one like Lockheed Martin or Boeing. I'm not debating politics of which country it's sold to or not. I'm not here to promote or demote Pak exports. The authority of the source, lacks authoritativeness to this matter.

I'm not a vandal. Your block isn't correct.

I didn't even assert a personal POV.

What has made me assumed a vandal? There's no community consensus that matters.

What matters, is that if you are writing something about any comnmercial entity. You find a real source that's from the "horse's mouth".

In this case, you need DG ISPR and/or PAC Kamra [a supplier]. I wanted to avoid invoking "DG ISPR", however the matter of fact is, you need at least the primary component supplier.

That's PAC, and or any supplier of China.

If you can't find a Pak PR, then find a China one.

That's State News Agency level procurement; and if private sector the deals are documented in a formal way:

https://news.lockheedmartin.com/news-releases

It's not just an order book.

Deliveries are also 1st party OEM published! Like this: https://boeing.mediaroom.com/2025-10-14-Boeing-Announces-Third-Quarter-Deliveries Wiki Sky me 1 (talk) 03:49, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not PhilKnight, but he never accused you of vandalism, but blocked you for edit warring by repeatingly restating your edit without any attempt of discussion on your talk page. Note that the person reverting you, ZLEA, is also partially blocked. Even if you were right, being right isn't enough. Go edit another page, and make sure to avoid undoing an edit multiple times, even if you provide an edit summary. --pro-anti-air ––>(talk)<–– 04:25, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding disruptive edits on Pirate Party of Greece

[edit]

Hello, I'd like to kindly request that you or anyone else have a look at the Pirate Party of Greece article. User: Deiasfei keeps making disruptive edits, removing verifiable information and replacing it with his own conjecture and opinions. I keep changing things back to normal, but it's really annoying, tiresome, and discouraging. Furthermore, I don't want to find myself involved in an edit war - I'm just trying to help raise a few lower-impact articles a notch or two in detail and quality (I had worked quite a bit on Sniff 'n' the Tears a few years ago). Thank you for your consideration. Odysseus Giacosa (talk) 18:56, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Deiasfei's editing is poor quality, but it doesn't merit a block. I could protect the article, if you want. PhilKnight (talk) 19:14, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Whatever you can do will be very highly appreciated! Odysseus Giacosa (talk) 20:42, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for taking action. May I let you know if something happens again? Odysseus Giacosa (talk) 20:38, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, and of course. PhilKnight (talk) 02:13, 2 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

TA block

[edit]

Hello Phil! I noticed you added a block to ~2025-37490-58 (talk · contribs) for vandalism, but I'm guessing you meant to apply it to ~2025-37535-75 (talk · contribs) instead, as the latter is the active TA for the user (the other one appears to be stale). I'm only letting you know because it seems they're still at it. Thank you :) tony 17:08, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Now blocked by another admin. PhilKnight (talk) 17:09, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Third pair of eyes

[edit]

Hi, is there any chance you could take a look at the dispute at Muscat International Airport? From my perspective there’s an experienced user adding unsourced content, but after edit warring is refusing to engage in dispute resolution discussions on the talk page…

Also, is there a way to withdraw the SPI I filed regarding the LTA you blocked? I opened it in good faith, unaware of the LTA issue, as they had removed the ANEW report as their first act which was very suspicious, but in light of the LTA issue it’s obvious it was something else entirely. Danners430 tweaks made 09:50, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Danners430, I've left LibStar a note on their user talk page. As you say, they are an experienced editor, so I don't understand why they aren't adding citations. On the SPI, it's been closed, and will be archived. We don't normally delete SPIs that have discussion on them. PhilKnight (talk) 11:41, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that - I'm trying to keep my distance, on the very wise advice of another editor at WP:ANEW, since they seem to have taken an ardent dislike to myself... And aye, makes sense. I opened the SPI because it was somewhat suspicious that a new account was creatd and immediately removed the report, but in hindsight it was a mistake with good intentions :-) Danners430 tweaks made 11:43, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

IP Vandal has returned

[edit]

An IP vandal that you blocked back in May for a period of three years appears to have resurfaced. Changes to the page Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast by [~2025-38313-58] have the same edits as the IP user [204.155.11.112] you have repeatedly blocked, namely, random insertion of references to Disney Hollywood Studios and Universal Studios Japan. I've reported these edits in the past, but they are often dismissed as the admins checking the incidents boards don't recognize the edits as vandalism. I don't know if you can still lock pages, but you might consider a page lock since this has been ongoing for years. Thanks.JlACEer (talk) 19:23, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi JlACEer, I have blocked the temporary account, but haven't protected the page, because there isn't sufficient recent abuse to justify it. PhilKnight (talk) 19:31, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Apology for accidental reverts mistake (which I undid)

[edit]

@PhilKnight Hope you are well. Not too long ago I made a mistake with reverts thinking I accidentally added something myself since I made a draft article on the same movie. It is at the bottom of my talk page. I hope you have seen it but if not I will link it below:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Kala7992#Accidental_Reverts_I_made_which_I_undid_and_restored_to_previous_versions

I did not mean to revert multiple edits and corrected the mistake as soon as I realized that I was on the wrong draft and that other editors were editing on it. There was no conflict since I undid everything, but I just wanted to let you know in case to take accountability for my mistake. Kala7992 (talk) 19:47, 4 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

^since you have unbanned me under 1RR restriction, I wanted to let you know to assure you I did not willingly intend to breach it and got confused. Kala7992 (talk) 19:48, 4 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Technical news

  • Starting on November 4, the IP addresses of logged-out editors are no longer being publicly displayed. Instead, they will have a temporary account associated with their edits.
  • Administrators will now find that Special:MergeHistory is now significantly more flexible about what it can merge. It can now merge sections taken from the middle of the history of the source (rather than only the start) and insert revisions anywhere in the history of the destination page (rather than only the start). An apology

[edit]

I realize you have receive multiple pings from me on multiple pages... I want to make sure you see this comment from me where I appologize.

Let me start fresh. First an apology. I came in WAY too hot. I was pissed at getting block for what I genuinely thought was doing the right thing. I now see that my actions WERE warring. As Tony points out above, when the editor in question has a valid edit summary, that is no longer clear vandalism, but a content dispute. I got carried away clicking the revert button and that is my error in judgement and my mistake. I'm sorry for both my initial actions that landed us all here, and for coming back at you so aggressively for doing your Admin work. That was not fair and I genuinely apologize.

You can respond there, here or not at all, but I wanted to make sure you at least saw my comment. Again, sorry for acting like a jerk. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 00:02, 14 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You were fine. Nobody likes being blocked. Glad you see that you were edit warring. Apology accepted. PhilKnight (talk) 02:31, 14 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Unicode emoji relevance

[edit]

I added the Unicode emoji equivalents to various articles since others had already included them, such as for Falafel, Fortune cookie, Oden, Onigiri, Senbei, Mooncake, Dango, Narutomaki, and Shaved ice. You may need to remove those as well. Could they be included in the actual article themselves instead, such as with the articles for Bubble tea, Che vuoi?, and Khanda (Sikh symbol), among others? Slightlybeanishinnature (talk) 10:44, 15 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The mention in the Khanda (Sikh symbol) article is sourced, so that's legitimate. PhilKnight (talk) 17:18, 15 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

For reverting the vandalism on my Talk page! David10244 (talk) 02:25, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:GlobalContributions/~2025-41897-18 seems to have only 4 contributions, all vandalism but not in the last couple of days; is it worth warning and taking to AIV? I don't patrol for vandalism myself. Also, I'm not quite sure how to link Temp accounts... David10244 (talk) 02:45, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
They are a long term abuse vandal. I've blocked them. Thanks. PhilKnight (talk) 03:04, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
