ზოფია ემილია კიელან-იავოროვსკა (პოლ. Zofia Emilia Kielan-Jaworowska) (დ. 25 აპრილი, 1925 — გ. 13 მარტი, 2015) — პოლონელი პალეობიოლოგი. 1960-იანი წლების შუაში კიელენ-იავოროვსკა ხელმძღვანელობდა პოლონურ-მონღოლური პალეონტოლოგიური ექსპედიციების სერიებს გობის უდაბნოში. კიელენ-იავოროვსკა იყო პირველი ქალი, რომელმაც იმსახურა გეოლოგიურ მეცნიერებათა საერთაშორისო კავშირის აღმასრულებელ კომიტეტში[5][6][7].

ადრეული ცხოვრება და განათლება

კიელენ-იავოროვსკას განათლება დაიწყო მეორე მსოფლიო ომის შემდეგ. რადგან ვარშავის უნივერსიტეტის გეოლოგიის ფაკულტეტი განადგურდა 1939 წელს, ის ესწრებოდა ლექციებს რომან კოზლოვსკის სახლში[8]. შესაბამისად, მან მოიპოვა მაგისტრის ხარისხი ზოოლოგიაში და დოქტორის - პელეონტოლოგიაში ვარშავის უნივერსიტეტში, სადაც მოგვიანებით ის გახდა პროფესორი.

კარიერა და კვლევა

კიელან-იავოროვსკა დასაქმდა პოლონეთის სამეცნიერო აკადემიის პალეობიოლოგიის ინსტიტუტში. ის სხვადასხვა ფუნქციას ითავსებდა პოლონეთის პროფესიულ ორგანიზაციებში და ამერიკის შეერთებულ შტატებში. ის იყო პირველი ქალი, რომელმაც იმსახურა გეოლოგიურ მეცნიერებათა საერთაშორისო კავშირში[5].

კიელან-იავოროვსკას საქმიანობამ მოიცვა დევონური და ორდოვიციული სისტემებს შესწავლა ცენტრალური ევროპიდან (პოლონეთი და ჩეხეთის რესპუბლიკა), ხელმძღვანელობა რამდენიმე პოლონურ-მონღოლური პალეონტოლოგიური ექსპედიისა გობის უდაბნოში და ნიანგების, ხვლიკისნაირთა, კუების, დინოზავრების (აღსანიშნავია დაინოჰეისური), ფრინველებისა და მრავალბორცვიანთა ახალი სახეობების აღმოჩენა. ის არის ავტორი წიგნისა „Hunting for Dinosaurs“ და თანაავტორი წიგნისა „Mammals from the Age of Dinosaurs“.

ჯილდოები
