[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to United States Department of War, without good reason. It was extremely unwise to move this article before disambiguation is required. Please do not make such a move again in the future. Another editor has already reverted this move. If and when the current DOD is renamed DOW, then the person closing that discussion will handle any disambiguation problems. This is putting the cart before the horse. TiggerJay (talk) 03:59, 7 September 2025 (UTC)
Hi ShallowC! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Leo Frank and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 06:54, 30 September 2025 (UTC)

Greetings. I removed your recent addition since it was not supported by the sources provided. The first source is an opinion piece by a college professor accusing leftist queer studies scholars of anti-Semitism, especially Judith Butler. It does not mention the trope of the LGBTQ community being a distraction created by Jews
. The second source also does not mention any such Jewish conspiracies
. Maybe you cited the wrong articles by mistake? Feel free to discuss this on the article's talk page. Thank you. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 03:33, 26 October 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Robert Dietrich when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

- That’s odd, The parameter did display when I added it ShallowC (talk) 19:45, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Non admin closures
[edit]I realize you are trying to help, but please DO NOT close TFDs unless you know what you are doing. {{Infobox venue}} needs to be modified and EVERY instance of {{Infobox swimming venue}} manually changed for that merge to work. You cannot simply redirect it. Please refrain from making further TFD closures until you have read WP:NAC and familiarize yourself with the process. Does Canada use mdy
[edit]From articles I have done regarding Canadian subjects, the format is mdy. Even the other Heritage Classic pages have mdy format.
Same thing with Canada national team pages and events taking place in Canada.
Yes I am coming at this from an American POV where we also use mdy. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 00:04, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- @HalfOfAnOrange: Canada uses both formats interchangeably, hence why MOS:DATETIES does not apply to articles with ties to Canada. ShallowC (talk) 00:37, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- But all Heritage Classic articles use mdy. Check the others. We might as well go with the style that has been used for all previous ones. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 05:44, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- @HalfOfAnOrange As far as I'm concerned, there is no Wikipedia policy for date format consistency between articles. MOS:DATERET only applies to individual articles. ShallowC (talk) 06:13, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- NHL-related pages (excluding BLPs) consistently use mdy format. The mdy format will eventually be used when other WP:NHL editors make edits in the future. – sbaio 11:04, 24 December 2025 (UTC)

Ice hockey player first sentence
[edit]Refrain from doing edits like this. The "...player who is a..." part is supposed to be there to avoid WP:SEAOFBLUE violations. This has been discussed at WP:NHL and it was decided to use this formation. – sbaio 10:56, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
2026 Heritage Classic moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to 2026 Heritage Classic. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. JTtheOG (talk) 08:27, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
